Our Kaikōura Cafe is located 2km south of Kaikōura township and offers a wide variety of delicious homemade food you can enjoy either dining in or taking away. The cafe provides ample parking and boasts great sea views of South Bay. You can choose from a full all-day menu or hot and cold cabinet food. Additionally, the cafe offers Tip Top ice blocks to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Convenient Coach Tour and Group Stop
Te Ana – The Caves Kaikōura Cafe is a great place to stop for tour and transit coach passengers. It’s conveniently located between Christchurch and Picton, with plenty of off-highway parking that’s safe and secure. The cafe is spacious and can accommodate a large volume of customers, with a wide selection of cabinet food and excellent service. The bathrooms are modern and clean, which adds to the appeal of stopping here. Another great thing about the Caves location is that your passengers won’t have to worry about getting lost while shopping, which could cause delays to your timetable.
The Cave Tours
Location: Tours depart from Te Ana – The Caves Kaikōura Cafe, State Highway 1, just south of the Kaikōura township.
Tour Duration: Approximately 45 minutes. Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour. Closed in footwear ie; sports shoes – is essential. No open shoes, jandals or sandals are permitted.
Fitness Level: A reasonable level of mobility is required. The tour involves an easy walk with some steps. Hard hats are provided.

After your 45-minute exploration, you can enjoy a coffee or a delicious meal at the adjoining café, taking in the stunning sea views from above ground.
